About Us

The Bears Cheerleaders are the pivotal force for Tahoma Spirit!  These young
women keep the fans fired up at THS Athletic events. But the Bears Cheerleaders
aren't just about the sideline.  They are exceptional athletes and dedicated students
with an incomparable work ethic.

The  Bears Cheerleaders are made up of two squads.  The Fall/Winter and Fall/Comp

The Fall/CompSquad cheers at all Varsity Football games and will be the THS main
Competition Squad.  This squad will compete at several local, regional and national
competitions, both in and out of state.

The Fall/Winter Squad will cheer at Fall, Winter & Spring Sports events, including
Football, Soccer, Basketball, Wrestling and others.  The Fall/Winter squad may also
have the opportunity  to compete at certain events if the schedule allows.

Bears Cheerleaders have some large responsibilities around THS and around the
community.  They are responsible for fund-raising to help finance the squads needs.
Bears Cheerleaders are expected to be community leaders, volunteer in the
community and lead by example.  They are expected to conduct themselves in an
exemplary fashion and to uphold a positive image for their school and community.

Bears Cheerleaders work hard!  Squads will practice on average 4 days a week.
Football and Competition Season can see the practice schedule ramp up to 5 to 6
times a week.  These Cheerleaders expect a lot from themselves.  They are out to
show who they are and what they are capable of.  They put in the work and they
deserve the support of family, friends, the schools and the community at large.

There is also the JV Squad.  The JV Squad representing Tahoma Jr. High.  The JV
Squad cheers at TJHS and JV Games.  The JV squad may also have the opportunity
to compete at certain events if the schedule allows.
