| About Us |
The Bears Cheerleaders are the pivotal force for Tahoma Spirit! These young women keep the fans fired up at THS Athletic events. But the Bears Cheerleaders aren't just about the sideline. They are exceptional athletes and dedicated students with an incomparable work ethic. The Bears Cheerleaders are made up of two squads. The Blue Squad (Winter Sports) and the Gold Squad (Fall/Competition). The Gold Squad cheers at all Varsity Football games and will be the THS main Competition Squad. This squad will compete at several local, regional and national competitions, both in and out of state. The Blue Squad will cheer at Winter & Spring Sports events, including Basketball, Wrestling and others. The Blue squad may also have the opportunity to compete at certain events if the schedule allows. The Blue Squad also has the same school, fund-raising and community responsibilities as the Fall/Comp Squad. Bears Cheerleaders have some large responsibilities around THS and around the community. They are responsible for fund-raising to help finance the squads needs. Bears Cheerleaders are expected to be community leaders, volunteer in the community and lead by example. They are expected to conduct themselves in an exemplary fashion and to uphold a positive image for their school and community. Bears Cheerleaders work hard! Squads will practice on average 4 days a week. Football and Competition Season can see the practice schedule ramp up to 5 to 6 times a week. These Cheerleaders expect a lot from themselves. They are out to show who they are and what they are capable of. They put in the work and they deserve the support of family, friends, the schools and the community at large. There is also the White Squad. The White Squad is our JV Squad representing Tahoma Jr. High. The White Squad cheers at TJHS and JV Games. The White squad may also have the opportunity to compete at certain events if the schedule allows. |
